Mike Nelson's labyrinth, The Coral Reef, is something that has great significance to my current project. For the past few weeks I've been researching into where corrupt world leaders and terrorists have been found hiding. Nelson's Coral Reef shows different settings and scenarios that could easily be associated with the type of people I've been researching.
When I went to visit the installation, I found it eery and very scary. It was the feeling of the unknown of what was behind each door that scared me. The realism of it meant that it felt like a possibility to find a stereotype living with in one of the rooms.
